CMJ Magazine and CD: Issue 135

The latest CMJ includes a dandy CD. In the issue itself: interviews with The Sun (who are on the cover), Her Space Holiday's Marc Bianchi, Danger Mouse and MF Doom, Tim Fite, Deerhoof, Nada Surf (who I forgot to TiVo on Conan O'Brien the other night, d'oh), Cage, and Wooden Wand and the Vanishing Voice. Also: Chris Walla gabs about vegetarianism (on Chris Martin being voted the sexiest vegetarian: "Well Chris Martin is a sexy man" He did not add, "Sexy name, too" but was possibly tempted to). Cocorosie's Bianca Casady also explains the "horny, unicorny" cover art for Noah's Ark, or at least gives it a good try. "It's like tears or blood. It's the female. She's in this moment of ecstasy but also it's kind of overwhelming. So she's like bleeding or crying." Bleeding or tears? Why can't the unicorn/the viewer tell the difference between blood and tears? I am so glad I'm not a unicorn!
