Master of Reality Gets 33 New Videos

Saturday, November 4th, at 8:00 PM the Echo Park Film Center in Los Angeles will host their fourth Exquisite Corpse Comes Alive event.*

Artists have been making Exquisite Corpse videos as Halloween approached. This time out, every minute of Black Sabbath's Master of Reality has had a video made for it by a different artist -- 33 in all. The result of 33 artists' visions of 33 different minutes of music is bound to be interesting.

The same night, next door at Machine Project is the opening of Takeshi Murata's "hallucinatory" 10-minute video, Untitled (Silver), a "pixel by pixel" deconstruction of the 1960 horror film Mask of Satan.

Black Sabbath's "Children of the Grave" video, from "the Me Decade":

*Granted, the organizers, Christy Karacas and Luke Crotty, are from New York. We don't generally need New Yorkers' help in organizing activities, as there are already a lot of awesome things to do in Los Angeles, but it would be foolish to look a New York gift horse in the mouth (that's even a famous expression). If, say, CMJ really wanted to start holding a Music Marathon here, we would probably support that endeavor. Los Angeles is friendly like that.
